Brenda Hunter's skilful arrangements of traditional Irish and old time folk music reveal the eclectic influences of jazz, rock, and the classics. She performs, solo and with Banshee in the Kitchen, and she is a respected instructor on the hammered dulcimer at music festivals nationwide. An accomplished composer and arranger as well as multi-instrumentalist on fiddle, piano and other instruments, Brenda has three CDs to her credit, in addition to her current work with the band. Christmas Collage and The Captive Maiden, recorded mid-1990's, are still in demand, as is her solo album (backed by Banshee in the Kitchen), Catching the Mooncoin. Brenda teaches and performs solo, with her band, or with an accompanist.
